DRIVE

I was laying in the bed around 2 o clock in the morning watching Alien Romulus, an all of the sudden I had an epiphany, NFL quarterbacks really have to get on to the right team to stive and do well. I sat up an thought about the history of Quarterbacks How some of them bounce from team to team and all of the sudden they get on a team an they become all Pro. Wow, then I thought, "do I really understand the reason for their new success". I thought about it for a few seconds like I always do in every page, than I excused myself because I had to turn the porch light back on, I look through several books and magazines an even searched the internet for the answer, and like a ray of light; there it was. Its their drive that gives them success. They work hard train for hours, get bigger, faster and stronger; so one day when the call to start comes in they play like the quarterback they where drifted to be. like a fresh bottle of cola from the assembling line, that blow my mind. but I had one more question one of the great wonders of the world. what about the New England Patriots management?

"Parlay"
a cumulative series of bets in which winnings accruing from each transaction are used as a stake for further bet.

I am seasoned bettor, been betting for years an I've won a few good bets here and there. One day after I though about it for a second, I though I would try my hand at a parlay, while I was on my way to the betting desk, I wondered what was I thinking to make a bet like this. Sure this was the next level of betting, but if you don't make the bet how can you win. I found out how you can't win. in a parlay you usually go with the spread, the number you calculate the team will win by. So I continued on my journey to the world of high stakes betting. I look up at the sports book board an I was wowed. I couldn't believe my eyes on how many good bets there was. So I gather up my pool and walked too place the bet of no return, boy was I nerves like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I did it, the bet was achieved. birds were chirping, sun was peeking out from the clouds, an I was good to go; until the third bet missed by a half.

IMPACT

The story you're about to read is based on actual events. I was window shopping having a festive day I noticed a poker tournament going on. So, with my curiosity, I went in to check out what was happening. I sit at the bar, order a drink and scan the room to witness the melee of the deep thought radiating from the floor. You could feel the concentration. That moment gentleman sat at the bar and ordered himself a drink, took a few sips and slammed his fist on the counter. Since I was tripping he would do something like that, I asked him how did he do at the tournament. He looked up and said he didn't do well, but he did finish in the money. I asked what's the best you ever have done? He took a couple of more sips from his drink and told me he had finished a couple of times at the final table, but he never won a whole tournament. That's pretty good, what's your secret to your success? I asked. Well, he said what I like to do, and it seems to work pretty well is; "BARK AT MY HAND". I didn't think you could go around in a tournament barking at your hand. No, he said with a laugh. What I meant, is I do like the rappers do, when I say "bark", I mean 'talk", and when I say "hand", I mean the "cards" I am holding. So, what you're saying is you talk to your cards to bring you good fortune. He looks at me and says yes that's exactly what I mean. Oh, cool I said to him, sounds like you have it going on. I finish my drink, say my goodbye and walk outside for a little fresh air. That simple discussion gave me an insight to further my quest to become an elite bettor. Now, I have another step in the never-ending platform for gaming analytics. I know having a ritual can greatly increase my odds. I will do more research in this field, to compare what works and what doesn't. So, I can achieve the impact I am looking for in making a good bet.

IMPACT CON'T

Now that I have this newfound knowledge on how to increase my odds of making a good bet. I began looking into the best techniques that would fit my lifestyle of living. I thought I would start by researching the latest phenomenon people were doing to increase the odds of beating the house. I couldn't believe what I found, there were so many of things you could do like, wear a lucky color or avoid certain numbers that are traditionally seen as unlucky or I could just eat a meal that I see as lucky. What can I choose that would work for me? I didn't want to use a ritual that had already been used. I watch superhero movies and when the supervillain tries to duplicate the process the superhero went through to gain his powers, it never works out the way the supervillain wants. What can I use, what can I do? Suddenly it dawned on me I could carry a rabbit's foot. But, what I can do is paint it different colors on each side, that way when I take it out of my pocket I would be looking at a different rabbit's foot each time. This could work, what a great idea. I am on my way to being a good bettor. Now all I need is the perfect spot to begin my conquest

SNOOZ

I had a dream the other night. I think it was a dream. Maybe it wasn't a dream, just go with it for the sake of the story. The dream started. I was entering the casino and trying to decide my strategy on how I was going to gamble. Counting my money so I could decide how much to spend on my spot for the night so I wouldn't lose more money than I won. My eye caught a craps table with a few rollers, so I scroll over and flash my money to the dealer. He claps his hands and leaves the table. Then the fun begins. A new dealer came to the table put his hands up and announced to the bettors that he was sorry he was late but he just flew in and boy his arms tired. The table got quiet except for a lady who was drunk laughing. I got the joke, but I was trying to make sense of the purpose of the joke. The only thing he didn't do is tell us he'll be here all week. After the awkward silence of the missed timed joke was over the players at the table started setting their bets for the melee that would begin. I always like to check out a table to see if the table is hot or cold. To do that I bet the pass line has some of the best odds to win, around 22% but don't roll 2,3, or 12 you'll lose. The first roll hit a 7 which line up with the house odds of 22% and a win for me. Great things are looking good so far. At that moment the dealer backs up from the table and shouts why didn't the skeleton cross the road? Since I always considered myself a humorist person I assumed the skeleton couldn't cross the road because he was too weak. Wouldn't you know it, that wasn't the answer? The dealer started pointing to people asking them what the punch line was but of course, no one knew the answer so he put his arms to the side and said because he didn't have enough guts. The thing about gambling is all types of people are at the tables you have your drunk people you have just here having a good time people but every once in a while, you have your outspoken people who like to express their thoughts like "What does that have to do with making bets at the table"!!! The Pit Boss comes over placing his hand on the dealer's shoulder asking him if he could have a quick talk with him. They talk for a few seconds the dealer nods his head and comes back to the table and announces, "Place your bets". Bets are placed the roll comes up 6 which is point. 6 is a good point number because it has many combinations that can be rolled to get a 6. The alarm goes off

DRINKS

This is a special edition of the book of batter archives, the "Drinks at the table edition". During my endless search for the ultimate gambling spot, I noticed the different drinks that gamblers drink to give them solitude at the table during their gambling journey. It's wonderful to see that there are all kinds of drinks out there, gamblers can relax, and they can hit the big score.

Let's explore the top five drinks I think are the most popular ones, the rum and coke, my favorite. Add a little rum to a glass filled with ice, you've got the party drink of all party drinks made wright has a nutmeg taste to it. Next is the gin and tonic, great for a conversation at the table, pour a second count of gin thin tonic to top and there you go, ready for the next roll. Third, you have your Moscow mule ginger beer always welcome, and pour some vodka with a splash of milk, and you're hitting the blackjack every time. Four is the surprise, surprise, the apple martini yes, I did its there you just have to look doesn't always come in a martini class and you might mistake it as a "Incredible Hulk" which is cognac mixed with alize and, five Champagne when your out on the town feeling good you like to celebrate. Drinks are certain lucky charms. But I don't want to forget those of you who don't drink. We've all been there when Shirley Temple was there for us, but now it's time to up the stakes.

January is a dry month, but when you want a good prohibition cocktail you don't care what month it is. Here are some none alcoholic drinks I think you would like. A nonalcoholic daiquiri is always refreshing to give you a Caribbean vibe, comes in different flavors to please the palate and on the same plain, a No alcohol Margarita comes to the rescue. A free gin and tonic gives you the rush of a gin and tonic without the gin. Here's one that will make you giggle: try a kombucha, it's not just good for you, it has beer notes to it because it is fermented tea. There is a world of drinks, so test them out, play some games and see which drinks bring you luck. I just want to give an honorable mention to the lost drink, the mai tai, people seem to have forgotten, but bring it back, it's really refreshing and good too
